Spring Onion Swiss Roll Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3 egg whites
  • 120g caster sugar
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 120g plain flour
  • 2 tbsp spring onion flakes
  • 150g butter cream

Direction

  1. Prepare the oven by preheating it to temperature of 200ºC. Grease and line the cake with baking paper.
  2. Beat egg whites until soft peaks are formed. Add in sugar and continue to beat until stiff peaks are visible. Stir in egg yolks. Gently fold in sifted flour.
  3. Spread butter onto baking tin. Sprinkle with spring onion flakes. Bake for 6 minutes. Leave to cool.
  4. Turn cake onto a paper, spread with butter cream. Roll gently from wide end, using paper to lift and roll the cake.
  5. Spread butter cream over the roll and roll on spring onion flakes. Slice and serve.
