Orange Rolls Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 80g caster sugar
  • 100g plain flour
  • 60g butter, melted
  • 30g cocoa rice crispy
 Orange Butter Cream Filling
  • 1 orange, sliced
  • 200g caster sugar
  • 200ml water
  • 80g butter cream

Preparation

  1. To make the sweetened orange slices, bring sugar and water to boil. Add in orange slices. Continue to cook until syrup thickens. Leave to cool and drain well. Chop orange slices.
  2. Preheat oven to 200ºC, and grease the rectangular cake tin. Line it also with baking paper. Sprinkle the baking tin with cocoa rice crispy.
  3. Beat eggs and sugar until light and fluffy. Gradually fold in sifted flour, add in butter, mix well.
  4. Spread mixture onto baking tin. Bake for 6 to 8 minutes. Leave to cool.
  5. Turn cake onto a paper. Spread the cake with butter cream. Spoon chopped sweetened orange onto the roll. Roll gently from end to and guide rolling.
