Cabbage Rolls Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs
  • 80g caster sugar
  • 100g plain flour
  • 60g butter, melted
  • ½ tsp vanilla essence
  • 100g cabbage
  • 12 dark cherries
  • 100g fresh cream, whipped

Method

  1. Blanch cabbage into boiling water until cooked then drain well.
  2. Preheat oven to temperature of 200ºC. Grease a rectangular cake pan as usual and line it with baking paper. Then line the cake tin with cabbage and sprinkle with dark cherries.
  3. Beat eggs and sugar until light and fluffy. Gradually fold in sifted flour, add in butter and essence and mix well.
  4. Spread mixture over cabbage. Bake for 8 minutes. Leave to cool.
  5. Turn cake onto a paper. Spread with whipped cream. Roll carefully. Cut the roll into slices and serve.
