| Orange Pound Cake Recipe |
Ingredients |
- 150 g butter
- 100 g caster sugar
- 50 g grounded almonds
- 150 g sugared orange, stripped
- 3 eggs
- 100 g plain flour
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
Garnishing
- 50 g decor gel
- 30 g fresh cream
- Orange coloring

Method
|
- Preheat oven to 180ºC, line a 18 cm (7 inches) square cake tin with grease proof paper.
- Beat butter, sugar, grounded almonds and sugared orange until light and fluffy. Add in eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Sift flour, baking powder and soda, fold into egg mixture until well blended.
- Spread batter into cake tin. Bake in oven for 60 minutes or until cooked.
- Slice the cake, combine the garnishing ingredients and spread over the cake. Or decorate as desired.
Sugared Orange
- Bring sugar and water to boil. Pour in orange slices.
- Cook until sugar syrup is thicken.
- Remove and ready to use.
