Banana Chocolate Pie Recipe

Ingredients

 Pie Crust Ingredients
  • 125 g plain flour
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons icing sugar
  • 100 g butter
  • 1 egg yolk
 Filling Ingredients
  • 50 g butter, softened
  • 50 g caster sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 50 g grounded almonds
  • 2 teaspoons plain flour
  • 90 g chocolate, melted
  • 200 g banana flesh, diced
 Garnishing
  • Fresh cream, banana slices

Method

  1. To make crust, sift flour, cocoa powder and icing sugar. Rub in butter, add in egg yolk to form dough. Refrigerate for a while.
  2. To make filling, beat butter and sugar until creamy. Add in egg, mix well. Add in grounded almonds, flour, melted chocolate and banana dices, mix until combined.
  3. Press dough into molds, spoon filling into molds. Bake in preheated oven at 180ºC for 25 minutes until cooked.
  4. When cool, remove pie. Decorate as desired.
