| Banana Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting Recipe |

- 225g unsalted butter
- 150g superfine sugar
- 2 eggs
- 150g mashed bananas
- 50g yogurt
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
- 260g all purpose plain flour
- A pinch of salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
Cream Cheese Frosting
- 340g cream cheese, softened
- 150g icing sugar
- 1 tsp lemon juice

Banana Cake Preparation
- Preheat the oven at temperature of 180°C.
- Beat unsalted butter and superfine sugar until light and creamy.
- Add eggs gradually, one at a time and continue beating. Then add in the mashed bananas, yogurt, and vanilla essence.
- Fold in the sifted flour, salt and baking powder into the butter mixture. Mix the batter evenly.
- Pour the cake batter into a greased round cake tin pan of 22 cm diameter.
- Bake the cake in oven for about 40 minutes, remove cake from oven after baking and leave to cool on wire rack.
Cream Cheese Frosting Preparation
- Beat cream cheese until lightly creamy before adding in icing sugar and lemon juice.
- Spread the cream cheese frosting on top of the banana cake. Serve.
