Apple Cake Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 apple
  • 100g butter, softened
  • 80g superfine sugar, 2 tbsp caster sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 100ml fresh whipping cream
  • 150g plain flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder

Direction

  1. Peel the skin of the apple. Chop the apple finely. Mix the apple with 2 tablespoons of sugar.
  2. Cook the chopped apple on a moderately heated pan until it softened and become apple puree.
  3. Beat the butter until light and creamy. Add in superfine sugar and continue to beat until the butter mixture turns white color.
  4. Add in fresh cream and mix the butter mixture evenly.
  5. Slowly fold in sifted flour and baking powder into the butter mixture. Mix evenly.
  6. Lastly, add in the apple puree and proceed to stir the batter evenly.
  7. Pour the apple cake batter into a greased square cake tin with the size of 18 cm x 18 cm.
  8. Bake the cake for 40 minutes in a preheated oven at temperature of about 180°C.
  9. Remove cake from oven and leave to cool before serving.
