| Almond Date Cookies Recipe |
Ingredients |
- 240 g plain flour
- 120 g butter
- 120 g vegetable fat shortening
- 200 g dates, chopped finely
- 175 g self-raising flour
- 65 g sugar
- 65 g almond, chopped finely
- Some egg yolks

Method
|
- Beat butter, vegetable fat shortening until light and creamy.
- Then add in chopped almonds and dates into the butter mixture. Mix evenly until it forms a soft dough.
- Roll and flatten the dough and cut out cookies using appropriate cookie cutter.
- Brush some egg yolk on top of the cookies and place few pieces of almond on top of the cookies.
- Bake the cookies at about 170ºC for 15 minutes.
