Classic Chocolate Cake Recipe

Ingredients

 A
  • 140g egg yolks
  • 45g superfine sugar
  • 130g butter
  • Few drops of vanilla essence
 B
  • 130g dairy cream
  • 100g milk chocolate, melted
  • 100g dark chocolate, melted
 C
  • 80g low protein flour
  • 45g cocoa powder
  • 2g soda bicarbonate
 D
  • 510g egg whites
  • 150g superfine sugar
 E
  • 180g walnuts, chopped

Direction

  1. Beat ingredients A together until creamy.
  2. Mix ingredients B evenly.
  3. Sift ingredients C together, and fold them into ingredients A and B.
  4. Beat ingredients D until fluffy and soft peaks are formed. Add the mixture from Step 3 into the egg whites mixture. Mix evenly.
  5. Add in the chopped walnuts into the cake batter and mix thoroughly.
  6. Pour the batter into cake mold and bake the cake in preheated oven at temperature between 160°C and 180°C for about 35 minutes.
