Butter Cake
Please refer to the butter cake recipe.
CREAM CHEESE MIXTURE
250g cream cheese
60g icing sugar
Grated zest of 1 lemon
2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp fresh milk
Preparation
- Beat all the ingredients at low speed until creamy.
- Spread all over the cake.
- Cut into pieces and serve.
Baking Tips and Guide
- This is a typically classic cake for afternoon tea.
- The butter cake can be spread with cheesy fruit jam such as blueberry, strawberry or lemon as it will make the cake tastier.
- Using two same size baking tins to bake cake can reduce the baking time.
- You also do not have to trim the extra area of the cake.
