Ingredients

Butter Cake

  • Please refer to the butter cake recipe.
  • CREAM CHEESE MIXTURE

  • 250g cream cheese
  • 60g icing sugar
  • Grated zest of 1 lemon
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp fresh milk
  • Preparation

    1. Beat all the ingredients at low speed until creamy.
    2. Spread all over the cake.
    3. Cut into pieces and serve.

    Baking Tips and Guide

    1. This is a typically classic cake for afternoon tea.
    2. The butter cake can be spread with cheesy fruit jam such as blueberry, strawberry or lemon as it will make the cake tastier.
    3. Using two same size baking tins to bake cake can reduce the baking time.
    4. You also do not have to trim the extra area of the cake.
