Chocolate Orange Cheese Cake Recipe

A slice of chocolate orange cheesecake

Ingredients

CHEESE CAKE BASE

  • 150 g of plain chocolate biscuit (crushed)
  • 50 g of nibbled almonds (toasted)
  • 2 tbsps of brown sugar
  • 120 g of butter (melted)
  • CREAM CHEESE FILLING

  • 750 g of cream cheese (at room temperature)
  • 75 g of brown sugar
  • 250 g of dark cooking chocolate (melted by double-boiling)
  • 250 ml of fresh whipping cream
  • 50 ml of concentrated orange juice
  • 30 g of corn flour
  • 4 eggs (beaten)
  • 2 oranges rind (grated)
  • Directions

    CAKE BASE

    1. Preheat oven at 160°C. Mix melted butter with dry ingredients until well combined. Press onto a 9" loose base cake tin. Refrigerate until set.

    CHEESE FILLING

    1. Beat cheese and sugar until creamy. Add in whipping cream and orange juice.
    2. Spoon some mixture into melted chocolate and pour back. Add in corn flour.
    3. Lastly add in eggs and rind. Pour batter onto set base and steam bake for 1 hour.
    4. Leave cake in oven with door closed for 30 minutes but temperature turned off.
    5. Remove cake from oven and let cake cool at room temperature. Refrigerate for 6 hours before serving.
