
Ingredients
CREAM CHEESE MIXTURE
500 g of cream cheese
3 egg yolks
50 g milk
2 tbsp custard powder
3 bananas, cut into pieces and mixed with
1 tbsp lemon juice
3 egg whites
100 g caster sugar
Method
- Firstly, preheat the electric oven at 200°C.
- Line a 8" round cake tin with grease proof paper.
- Use a beater to mix cream cheese, egg yolks and milk until well combined.
- Add bananas and mix until smooth.
- Whisk egg whites and caster sugar in a clean mixing bowl at high speed until soft peak is formed.
- Mix into cream cheese mixture in 3 batches.
- Pour cream cheese mixture into the lined baking tin.
- Steam bake the cheesecake in the preheated oven at 200°C for 15 minutes or until the surface turns into lightly brown.
- Reduce the heat to 150°C and bake for another 50 minutes or until cooked.
- Turn off heat.
- Leave cake to cool in the oven with door ajar for 1 hour.
- Chill cheesecake in the fridge for 4 hours.
- Remove cake from tin.
- Cut into pieces and serve.
