American Cheese Cake Recipe

Ingredients

 Cheese Filling
  • 375 g/ 13¼ oz of cream cheese
  • 3 eggs (egg yolk and egg white separated)
  • 90 g/ 3 oz of granulated sugar
  • 20 g/ ½ oz of butter
 Cheese Cake Topping
  • 120 g/ 4¼ oz of sour cream
  • 1 egg white
  • 20 g/ ½ oz of granulated sugar

Direction

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C/ 340°F.
  2. Using electric beater, beat the cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add half of the sugar and beat the mixture until well combined.
  4. Add egg yolks one at a time and beat until the batter is smooth.
  5. Beat egg whites until stiff.
  6. Stir in remaining sugar a little at a time. Whisk until sugar is fully dissolved.
  7. Fold in cheese mixture little by little.
  8. Pour the cheese batter into a greased cake tin.
  9. Bake the cheese cake for about 50 minutes. Remove the cake after baking and allow to cool.
  10. Combine and mix all topping ingredients.
  11. Pour the cake topping onto the cooled cheese cake.
  12. Bake the cake at 160°C for another 5 minutes. Proceed to serve.
