Strawberry Cake Recipe

Ingredients

 Makes one 9 x 13 inches cake
  • 2 layer size yellow cake mix
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 ounces box strawberry jelly
  • 10 ounces package strawberries, sweetened
  • ¾ cup oil
  • ¼ cup water
 Butter Icing
  • 1 pound confectioners sugar
  • 4 tablespoons/ ½ stick butter

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 350ºF. Grease and flour a 9 x 13 inches pan.
  2. Mix all ingredients together (use half of the strawberries) and bake for 20 to 30 minutes.
  3. Meanwhile, beat together the confectioners sugar and butter and fold in the rest of the strawberries.
  4. Remove the cake from the oven, poke lots of holes in it and spread with the icing. Bake an additional 20 to 30 minutes.
